A movie under the stars takes a regular Friday and turns it into the event neighbors talk about. The Backyard Movie Night Package gives you the full setup: outdoor screen, projector, audio, and seating for up to 25 — delivered before sundown, taken down the next morning. Built for kid birthdays, teen sleepovers, neighborhood block parties, anniversary nights, and the warm-weather family Fridays that don't need a tent but deserve more than a laptop on a folding table. Available across Westfield, Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Summit, Clark, Chatham, and the rest of NJ.
The package includes the outdoor screen, the projector, the sound system, seating for up to 25 guests, and a popcorn machine with supplies — because a movie night needs popcorn. Our crew handles delivery, full setup, sound check, and breakdown the next morning. You queue the movie, hit play, and let the yard do the rest. The screen and projector are sized for a residential backyard — bright enough to start the show at dusk, big enough that the back row still gets the close-ups.

Good to Know
No. The screen and projector are sized for a typical NJ backyard — most lawns clear the throw distance the projector needs and most plots fit the seating for 25. We confirm dimensions during the quote so there's no guessing on the day of. If your yard is unusually small or the projection line runs into trees or fencing, we'll flag it before booking and suggest a workable layout — angled seating, repositioned screen, or a different night plan if it truly won't work.
The screen and projector aren't built for sustained rain, so we watch the forecast with you in the 48 hours before the event. If a real storm is rolling in, we reschedule to a backup date that works for both of us — no penalty for a weather call we make together. Light overcast or a passing sprinkle isn't an issue; full rain or wind is when we move the night. Tell us your backup-date flexibility at booking and we'll lock both windows.
Sundown is the honest answer. The projector needs real darkness to produce a sharp image, so the show start lines up with sunset for the season. In peak summer (late June through early August), that means a 9 PM or later start. In May, September, and early October, sundown comes earlier — 7:30 to 8:15 — which works better for kid-event timing. We share the sundown estimate for your specific date when we confirm the booking.
Yes. The setup runs any HDMI source — laptop, streaming stick, console, or a phone with an adapter. World Cup watch parties, Super Bowl projection, milestone birthday slideshows, gender reveals, and outdoor video-game tournaments are all common bookings. Tell us the source at quote so we bring the right cable kit and confirm the audio works for your specific content.
June and July weekends fill the earliest — book 3 to 4 weeks ahead if your date is Friday or Saturday. Sundays through Thursdays in the same window usually open up at 2 weeks. May, September, and October are typically lighter and 1 to 2 weeks ahead works fine. Holiday weekends — Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day — book like June Saturdays; give us at least 3 weeks if you want one of those nights.
